If you cannot read files from your Desktop, your computer, or a USB flash drive, you have to change the settings to allow you to do so. Once you are in your Desktop, you should see a small black line in the middle of the window. When you click on that, a menu will appear with some settings which allow you to switch to your regular computer, your Desktop, send Ctrl + Alt +Del, a preferences page,a window mode, and a disconnect button.
